Julian Acosta is real rock & roll in the 21st Century. His authentic, free spirited, & educated attitude make him an elegant hippie for lack of better words. His music and voice is like the woodstock vibe graduated college with a major in gritty. His voice sings with pure soul intertwined with blues and rock & roll. When you bring catchy melodies, a personality of character, and moving lyrics together, it’s beautiful rock & roll.

Julian is a 100% self made man. Having studied 3.5 years of international business in Queretaro, Mexico and graduating with Marketing concentrated in music & media at the University of Texas San Antonio gave him a very well educated perspective both socially and intellectually.

In 2015 just about 5 months after having released his first music production, Capitol City Records, the music label he founded was voted top 10 music labels in the SXSW Austin Music Industry Awards. That same year The mayor of Austin, TX  proclaimed June 18th as Julian Acosta Day for his positive and creative contributions to the Live Music Capitol of The World.

He first started making a name for himself when in the late fall of 2014 when he released his first song with a music video titled “This Town” a song about his love and his inspiration found in Austin. His song “This Town” quickly opened the road for him to become one of the capitol of Texas’ newest son.

In the spring of 2016 he was nominated top 10 musicians of the year and best new bands at the SXSW Austin Music Awards. Capitol City placed top 5 beating the place of the year before. His song’s Dandelion, a love song played on the Ukulele and “This Town” are played across College Radio & Texas Radio. The Austin press has called his performances gritty with a soul, blues, rock & roll vibe.

“He is also a musician with business cred...” quoted officially by UTSA for being a musician, a passionate member to his community, and for having started his own music label, Capitol City Records. It’s impressive understanding that his accomplishments are on a timeline within 2 years of him pursuing a career in music.

What’s true is that his team, talent, and support from his community have helped navigated him into what is now a promising career and a path as a rising star.
